Biography

Elizabeth Kemple is a Southern Pines-born artist focusing on conceptually deep works that seek to start conversations about humanity. She attended school at Meredith College and now works in Southern Pines. She continues to work in both the art and design fields to bring communication through visual means.

Elizabeth Kemple is a multimedia artist who works primarily in printmaking and charcoal. While also branching out to ceramics, photography, drawing, and welding to give her work more depth when it fits. She uses these mediums as well in her design work to produce stylized yet functional media and tools. Elizabeth’s artwork focuses on trying to portray the way people struggle with different aspects of their lives and how that is what connects us to our humanity. communication and experiences are what inspire Elizabeth as she attempts to convey these ideas through her work.

Elizabeth's work has been exhibited in venues such as Artspace and educational institutions, catalyzing meaningful conversations. Initiating dialogue is the driving force behind Elizabeth's artistic endeavors, motivating her to continue creating thought-provoking art.
